Debbie was a Quality Control Auditor for the Blue Cross claims processing center in Surfside for over 20 Years. She was very knowledgeable and took pride in her work. She made many friends there during her work life that continued after her retirement.
After her retirement, she did a great job with the remodeling work she had done on the inside and outside of her home that she had been wanting to do for a long time. She was happy with the results and had friends over to help her celebrate when it was finished.
She enjoyed and was pretty serious about crafting. In 2024, she applied for and was excited to receive her own tax identification number so she could easily pay the taxes on her flea market sales. She liked to research for new craft projects on-line and getting ideas from other crafting friends, especially holiday ideas.
Debbie often spoke lovingly of her family and was disappointed when she recently had to cancel plans to meet her brothers at a gathering planned for later this year due to her ongoing health concerns.
She was also a very good trip planner. She really looked forward to her family trips both out of the country and to places like Disney World in Florida and out of town conventions with her sorority sisters. She (not long ago) had fun when she made reservations at a local hotel and she and her out of town relatives got to "play tourists".
I am glad I met you at work and will miss the after retirement visits, lunches and phone calls.
Dawn
