Debra "Debbie" Ann Tabler, 62, died March 29, 2022 at the Devlin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cumberland, MD.
Born in Cumberland on November 13, 1959 to the late Dale Tabler and Lucy Goldizen, she was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Tabler.
Debbie graduated from Fort Hill High School, Class of 1977, and then later graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with a degree in Office Technologies. She was a long time employee of Gee-Bees Department Store. She enjoyed playing card games, reading, and watching NCIS. She was a kind and beautiful soul, who never met a stranger.
Surviving are her daughter, Brittany Tabler-Morris and wife Krista Morris of Salisbury, MD; her bonus daughter, Jennifer Housel and husband Larry of Swanton, MD and their children, Madison, Savannah, and Emily; her brother, Rick Tabler and wife Crystal of Cumberland; her nephew, Nick Tabler; an extended family of many cousins; and her beloved cat, Maggie Mae.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, April 3rd from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown.
A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Paul Demers officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will follow at 3pm in LaVale. The family requests that those who are able please bring a covered dish, however all are welcome. Location will be announced at the memorial service.
The family would like to thank the staff of Devlin Manor for their care over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, www.alleganyanimalshelter.org, 716 Furnace St, Cumberland, MD 21502.
