SUGAR, Debera C. "Wonder Woman" – of Flint, MI, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Michigan 48423. Rev. Jeffrey Frechette, Sr. officiating. The family will receive visitors Monday at 11 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Debera.
Debera was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 16, 1949, to the late James T. and Mildred (Lustig) Moore. She married David Sugar on July 9, 1988, in Clio, Michigan. Over the years, she made her home in Montrose and Kearsley, where she built a life filled with love and laughter. Debera had a passion for simple joys-playing bingo, bowling, and testing her luck at the casino. She loved card games and never missed her daily unsweetened iced tea from McDonald's. Spending time with her sisters, whether dining out or just enjoying each other's company, was something she cherished. An avid Detroit Tigers fan, Debera was always cheering on her team. She found comfort in her favorite afternoon soap operas and never missed an episode of Family Feud. Her warmth, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Debera is survived by husband, Dave; children: Michelle (Shane) Schwartz, Jill (Josh) Johnson; Kristen Hendrickson, and David J. Sugar; grandchildren: Sarah Wheeler, Paige Wheeler, Alexis Schwartz, Dante Schwartz, Logan Johnson, Ashton Matheson, Jayden Wafer, Dolonta Wafer, Jordyn Wafer, Javon Wafer, Dishonta Wafer, Sierra Wafer, Sienna Wafer; great granddaughters: Arryana Wilder and Scarlett Wilder; siblings: James Moore, Jr., Pamela (James) Smith, and Denise (Matt) Foster; close friends, Debbie and Carol Gillette; her cat, Timmy Tim; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents, and first husband, Wayne Richards.
