Debbie Fouts, 72, of Scottville, Michigan, passed away suddenly at home on July 21, 2025. Debbie was born on June 10, 1953 in Charlotte, MI to Mable Norris. She grew up in the Lansing area as an only child and was doted on by all who met her. Debbie met her future husband, Barry Fouts, while in junior high school. Though life took them on separate paths for a time, love brought them back together in 1985 and they were married. Over the years Debbie and Barry raised their blended family while living in various cities across Michigan. In 2017, they retired together in Scottville, where they enjoyed a slower pace of life and the comfort of a close-knit community. Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Barry; her daughter, Shawn (Jeff) Olney; her sons Keith (Mary) Florian, Sandy (Becky) Florian, and Brandon Fouts. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A true homebody, Debbie often said her home was her castle - a place filled with love, laughter, and the familiar paw-steps of her cherished fur babies: Pyro, Dakota, Tank, and Snickerz. She found joy in quiet mornings, especially her ritual of coffee at the local cafe. She loved watching NASCAR, MMA, and crime tv, and later in life discovered a passion for quilting. Her quilts, each made with hours of care and creativity, were gifts of love that she proudly shared with family and friends. Debbie had a strong bond with her mother, and their many trips to Las Vegas were a source of treasured memories. More recently, she enjoyed traveling to visit her dearest friend in Texas - a reminder that deep friendships, like family, are among life's greatest blessings. A private service will be held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to a local animal shelter in Debbie's memory.
