Deborah Sue Abrams, age 73 died peacefully with her children by her side on April 28th, 2024, at her home in Sun City, AZ after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Deborah (known fondly by friends and family as Debbie) was born on April 1st, 1951, in Manhattan, NY to Kendrick and Ethel Mitchell. Raised in Bronx, NY, Debbie graduated from James Monroe High School in 1969 alongside her lifelong best friend Cindy Rubin. Soon after, Debbie started her successful career at the New York Telephone Company where she later retired after over 20 years of service as a Vice President Administrative Assistant. In 1972, Debbie married the love of her life Richard Abrams who passed away too soon in 2019.
Debbie is survived by her two adult children, Walter, and Lisa: along with her 7 grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her family and friends she enjoyed watching Phoenix Suns basketball games, completing puzzles, and crafting. Debbie made the most incredible greeting cards. Debbie was always able to find the best in everyone she met. She had a kind and loving soul and left a lasting mark on everyone’s lives. She is already incredibly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in her remembrance at 5:30pm on May 7th at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center in Sun City, AZ.
