Deborah Barks Obituary
Debi was born on April 9, 1955, to Jack and Virginia (Brock) Todaro in DuQuoin, Illinois. She married Kendal Barks on September 29, 1998.
Debi graduated from DuQuoin High School in 1973, and after attending college she married in 1976, and of this marriage came two children, Tiffany and Jeremy. Her passions consisted of gardening, afternoons in the sun, making spaghetti for her family and going to the beach. She was a loving, strong, independent, hard working, caring, beautiful, and one of a kind. She loved her children fiercely but, her greatest joy were her grandchildren. After her grandchildren were born she created her own language with words such as hula-holla-guacamala, mahooly, and many other un-transcribable words. Her grandkids will always cherish those memories and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Debi is survived by her mother, Virginia; her husband, Kendal; two children, Tiffany (Lindle) Barker, and Jeremy West; five grandchildren, Brantly (Kennedy) James, Savannah Fronek, Jack West, Landon Barker, and Benjamin West; one brother, Jackie (Pam) Todaro; and several nieces and nephews.
Debi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Stella Brock; and her father, Jack.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12:00-1:00 at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. Memorial Services will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 with Pastor Brantly James.
