Deborah Jean Beever, 73, of Lewis Center, OH, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2025, in Dayton, OH.
She was born on December 16, 1951, in Dayton, OH, to Earle and Norma Wathen. On May 23, 1986, she married the love of her life, Walter Beever, at the Park of Roses in Columbus, OH.
Deb had a fulfilling and successful 30-year career as a real estate manager. She was known for her vibrant personality, dedication to family, and love for animals.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Walt; their children, Jacob (Alicia) Beever and Katherine (Brendan) Melnick; step-children, Sara (Todd) Peterson and Marty Beever; and her beloved grandchildren, Noah and Luke Beever, Emma and Maggie Peterson, and step-grandchildren Brynn and Camrynn Beever. She is also survived by her brother, Craig (Sally) Wathen; niece, Kelsey (Rob) Bryant; nephew, JT Wathen; and stepmother, Elizabeth Wathen.
Deb's love extended deeply to her pets and grandpets, who brought her constant joy.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home in Worthington, followed immediately by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
In honor of Deb's lifelong love of animals, the family suggests donations be made to Columbus Dog Connection or to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
