Debbie (Mercer) Carbone, 62 passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2025, in Chelsea, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Tim, her father George Mercer, mother Joan (Pero) Mercer and her brother George Mercer. Survived by Debbie are her children Nicole Carbone of Revere, Timmy Carbone and his significant other Chantelle Gravinese of Everett and her grandchildren Nathan Conn, Amaya Conn, and Giovanni Carbone. She is also survived by her siblings, Cheryl Young and the late Paul Young of Somerville, Joseph Mercer and his wife Claire of Tewksbury, Gary Mercer and his wife Louise of Stoneham, Michelle Testa and her late husband Stephen Testa of California, Joannie Mercer of Billerica, Jeannie Mercer of Billerica, John Mercer and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Debbie grew up in Somerville with her 8 siblings. Sunday dinners were a family ritual where everyone discussed the week’s events and was a great family tradition. Growing up in a large family taught her strength, perseverance and patience. Debbie met Tim, the love of her life as a teenager and wed soon thereafter. They then left Somerville and moved to Revere where they laid their roots and brought up their two children. Debbie worked as waitress, caterer and her favorite of all was being a homemaker to her family.

Debbie had many friends and enjoyed entertaining them at her home along with her family. One of her favorite traditions was joining her twin sisters for biker weekend in Laconia, NH. She always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date by the family. In honor of Debbie’s life, anyone wishing to share condolences or a memory, please do so at www.buonfiglio.com.
