Blanca Miriam Flores, lovingly known as Mirian, “Mamá” and “Abuela” to many, was born on February 12, 1943, in the beautiful town of Metapán, Santa Ana, El Salvador. She passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was one of devotion, faith, and joy—a legacy she leaves in the hearts of all who knew her. Mirian was a woman of warmth, humor, and resilience. She carried her radiant smile and infectious laughter into every room, bringing light even in the hardest of times.

After moving to East Boston, she built a home that became a sanctuary of love, laughter, and faith. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she welcomed friends and family with pupusas, tamales, and countless meals that nourished both body and soul. She found joy in tending to her garden, caring for children, and sharing stories that connected generations. Her unwavering faith in God was the foundation of her life, and she instilled in her family the values of love, perseverance, and generosity.

Mirian is survived by her beloved children: Samuel, Toño, Pedro, Dalia, Margarita, David, Tito, and Lilian. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family who adored her. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Tomás Flores and Felicita Figueroa. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the traditions she passed down, and the love she poured into her family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during visiting hours at Buonfiglio Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Saturday, September 13th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will follow at a later date, honoring her wish to be laid to rest in Santa Ana, El Salvador.

We invite all who knew Mirian to share stories, photos, and memories on her memorial page. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and family, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
