Deborah Chadwick Obituary

Deborah Lynn Chadwick, 52, of Independence, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was born July 20th, 1970 in Carlisle, Ohio, daughter of Bennie B. Barnes and Donna Craig Barnes of North Port, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey "Jeff" Chadwick, her parents, her only daughter Maleah Brooke Glass of San Diego, California, her sister Peggy (Scott) Carson of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, sister Christina (Jeff) Updyke of Placida, Florida, brother Bennie (Jeannette) Barnes II of Livermore, California, and brother David (Katie Gray) Barnes of North Port, Florida. Debbie spent her career working in the auto-finance industry, retiring from her role as an Area Sales Manager with C&F Finance.

Debbie was loved by many and known by everyone as the ultimate hostess, hardest worker and a wearer of many hats. Throughout her life Debbie enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, decorating her home, planning trips to Florida where she loved to be near the ocean, taking long walks around the farm with her dog Bentley, spending time at her beautiful pool with Jeff and especially exploring new restaurants, shops & theaters with her daughter Maleah. One of Debbie's biggest passions was fitness- she spent many years of her life training and competing for national fitness and physique competitions. The mental toughness, grit and self-discipline that these events required contributed to her life success, as well as how she approached her battle with cancer, she was a fighter.

She is also survived by her step-sons, Cole (Stephanie Whittlesey) Chadwick, Brady (Emily) Chadwick and Tanner Chadwick, as well as her precious grandchildren, Presley, Griffin, Brindi & Cierra, whom she adored. Her legacy will live on through loving family members and countless friends, and her life will be celebrated forever on the Chadwick farm.

Services will be private with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Debbie's father's GoFundMe, to support Bennie's medical expenses accrued during his battle with pancreatic cancer: https://www.gofundme.com/f/bennie-b-barnes-medical-expenses
