Deborah “Debbie” K. Connors, 62, passed away on January 27, 2024 at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC. Born in Rochester, NY, Debbie was raised from a young age in a Catholic Sicilian household. At the age of 22, Debbie met her lifelong partner and true love, Kevin Connors. Debbie often joked that while Kevin’s humor may be shocking at times, she had to have some of that humor too, to be married for so long; their 40-year marriage proved her right. After her two sons, Michael and Eric were born, the family relocated to Charlotte, NC, where they have remained in the same house for over 35 years. When Debbie put her mind to something, there was nothing she couldn’t accomplish. In 2007, after obtaining her motorcycle license, Debbie and Kevin made a cross-country trek to the Grand Canyon with friends on their bikes. Debbie loved watching NASCAR and football, and listening to hard rock music. She loved playing Euchre with friends and family. She loved to dance with Kevin, take annual family trips to the beach and to stargaze. Most of all, Debbie loved her family and keeping up with the events of their lives, no matter how big or small.
Debbie is preceded in death by her late mother and father, Rose and Wilbur and her two brothers, Ronnie and Patrick. She is survived by her husband, Kevin, her two sons, Eric and Michael, daughter-in-law Katelyn, as well as her six grandchildren, which she lovingly referred to as her “sweet angel babies.” They are: Haley, Emilie, Matthew, Nathan, Thomas and William.
