Deborah A. DeMauro, 65, a longtime resident of Worcester and devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, May 6", 2025, after several health challenges.
Debbie was born in Newton, one of five children of Nicholas and Ida (Mastrototaro) DeMauro. As a toddler Deb moved with her parents to Worcester, where she was raised, educated and lived ever since. Debbie a wonderful, kind hearted women, worked as a telephone operator for several answering service companies most notably Al answering service, before retiring to stay at home and care for her mother Ida. Deb is survived by her siblings who loved her so very much, Christopher DeMauro of Clinton, Dora DeMauro and her life partner, Jackie Healy of Worcester, Dino DeMauro and his wife Denise of Holden; Elizabeth “tootsie” Desrosiers of Worcester. Debbie had one niece and three nephews who loved her dearly, Ashley, Dario, Nicolas and Mathew DeMauro; and two great nieces and one great nephew Anabel, Eric and Hailynn. Other extended family members and friends. And her longtime best friend Michele Pignataro.
Debbie was kindhearted, generous, and dedicated. She loved to dance, do crafts, puzzles, Italian food, and fashion. She was considered a "Diva fashionista" Her soul and spirit will be dearly missed.
Her brothers and sisters would like thank Deborah for all her dedication to the family she gave. Friends and relatives are invited to gather Monday, May 12th for calling hours from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning, May 13th from the funeral home with a procession to St Bernard's Church 281 Lincoln St where her Celebration of Christian burial Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.
