Deborah A. Estlund, 68, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, October 11, 2024, at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.

A gathering to celebrate Debbie’s life will be 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, at the Elks Lodge in Davenport. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family.

The former Deborah Ann Ayala was born May 10, 1956, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of John and Evelyn (McGough) Ayala. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Jeffrey Estlund, on June 7, 1980.

She worked as a loan processor for various companies and financial institutions in the Quad Cities, including Citizen’s Federal Savings & Loan. In recent years, she enjoyed working part time for Hy-Vee.

Debbie enjoyed gardening, basket weaving, and will be remembered for dancing in the kitchen. Above all else, family was the most important thing to her, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff; six children, Joy (Ray) Wright of West Des Moines, Iowa, Kyle (Jessica) Estlund of Bettendorf, Iowa, Brooke (Jason) Cale of Davenport, Erik (Layla) Estlund of Davenport, Carrie (Patrick) Irons of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Janelle (Adam) Baker of Davenport; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron Ayala, Dana (Paula) Ayala, John Ayala, Greg (Lori) Ayala, Anita (Dave) Harris, and Karen Byrne; many nieces and nephews; and a great family friend, Laura Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Ed Byrne.

The family would like to give special thanks to Comfort Keepers, Tricia and all the staff at Ridgecrest Village, and St. Croix Hospice and their incredible staff for the wonderful care given to Debbie.
