Deborah Lee Harley, 70, passed away on March 14, 2024 at her home in Mount Ephraim NJ. Born in 1953 in Baltimore MD, her roots started in Depew, NY when her mother's family came from Italy to Ellis Island and met her father's side that came from Germany. They made their way to Buffalo NY, to Old Bridge NJ, to Philadelphia, and then to Collingswood, NJ. She lived in Reading, PA, Laurels Springs, NJ, Clementon, NJ,Williamstown, NJ and Bath PA. She attended Collingswood High, then Votech in Sicklerville where she became an LPN. Despite many adversities, her determination kept her going, her eye on the light at the end of the tunnel to where she'd find happiness.
In her younger days Debi lived the life fantastic working down the shore at the Playboy Casino to pay for nursing school where she met some of the biggest stars. As a career Nurse, she cared deeply for her patients until an untimely accident cut her career short. A blessing in disguise, she was then able to care for her mother when she needed it most. Debi raised three children, was a fur momma to her pup Nikki(passed), kitty Nala (passed)., and currently her kitty Frankie. She could always be counted on for a good story, like meeting Snoop Dogg in NYC, tales of all the famous people she met working at the casino, or the weekend she spent with the band Chicago.
Debi had a beautiful soul with a trusting heart. Her love for animals was enormous, as she wanted to save all the animals in the world. She had a love for the afterlife and was an enthusiast of the paranormal. She loved Gettysburg and Mac n Mancos in Ocean City NJ. She loved fireworks, Brad Pitt, old time movies, Poison, the Beatles and most of all, her fur baby Frankie named after Frank Sinatra in memory of her mother.
Debi is preceded in death by her mother Betty Bacher (Carvelli), Father Robert Bacher and First husband Denny Kerper. She is survived by her three loving children, Taryn Kerper (Rob Hamby), Ryan Kerper (Amy Kerper), and Kimberly Elyse Harley (Eric Ingham), her husband Ronald Harley, and her two favorite little human beings- her grandchildren- Caroline and Danny Kerper. Debi had two best friends, Penny and Terry, that she loved so much was so thankful for.
