Deborah (Debbie) Greene House, 66, of Athens, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Debbie was the wife of the late Kevin Clyde House. She is the daughter of the late Betty Jean Wilbanks Pitts, her step-father the late Melvin Carey Pitts and her father the late William Felix Greene. She is survived by her sister, Connie Greene Rushing (Geo ; along with her nieces and nephews: Michal Moss (James), Josh Kardos (Darien), Jordan Rushing (Ashley), and Andy Rushing (Corey). She is also survived by seven great-nieces and great-nephews: Sophia and Chloe Moss, Joelle, Maggie and Samuel Kardos, and Kellan and Max Rushing. Additionally, she is survived by two aunts, one uncle, and many cousins. Debbie was dearly loved by her parents, her sister, and her extended family.
Debbie graduated from Clarke Central High School in 1976. She attended classes at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She enjoyed a career as an o ce administrator. Over the years she was employed by ComputerLand, Food Machinery Sales, Flower and Gift Basket, and Dye Sheet Metal Company all in Athens, Georgia.
Debbie enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. She also loved scuba diving, photography, flower arranging, and many crafts. She loved gardening and was often looking for unique flowers, shrubs, and trees to plant in her yard.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 1:00 at Oconee Chapel at 2370 Hog Mountain Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
