Deborah Kay Hunt was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on November 3, 1950. She was the daughter of Gene Allen Harwell and Vera Dinnell Harwell.
She departed this life in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old.
Debbie graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1968.
Debbie was a lady that didn't say a lot but because of her kindness and thoughtfulness she was loved by everyone. She worked at Caruthersville Middle School as a cook for many years. She always enjoyed watching cooking shows on television. She also loved the Young and Restless.
Debbie loved celebrating holidays with all her family including grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family time was treasured by her.
She is survived by four daughters: Jennifer Abbott (John), Barbara Underwood (Billy), Kimberly Roberts (Christopher) and Heather Hunt (Triston Stoner); four grandchildren: Jarred Abbott, Lance (Bubba) Mansfield, Alexis Abbott, and Karley Roberts; two great grandchildren: Siena Mansfield and Remi Stoner; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters – Shelby Lee and Donna Harwell.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri. Interment followed in Little Prairie Cemetery.
