Our beloved Deborah Jean Kuhner, age 73, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She was born November 23, 1951 to Ward "Crab" Garrison and Norma Jean (Hutchinson) Garrison. She was a 1969 Bishop Flaget alumna. She is preceded in death by her loving husband William Jacob Kuhner III.
Deborah was the proud and devoted mother of Sarah Chevalier (Jason), Jon (Ashley), and Jake (Jessica), who were her greatest joy and accomplishment. She loved spending time with her grandchildren Emalene, Alleigh, Cash, Billie, Katie, Jay, and Brody. Her love for her children and
grandchildren was boundless - she was their biggest supporter and their greatest fan for any of their sporting events or activities.
She is also remembered by her sister Susie Garrison Shoults, brother Greg Garrison, and cousin Janis Colvin, who shared a lifetime of memories filled with laughter and love.
Debbie had a gift for making everyone feel seen and cared for. Whether she was offering a listening ear or simply bringing people together with her warm character. She had a way of making the world a little brighter. Her kindness, humor, and compassion touched countless lives and will be deeply missed. She also never had a hard time telling you to "suck it up" or let you know you needed to get over something. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially since she happily retired from Mount Carmel East Hospital.
Though her passing leaves an emptiness that can never be filled, her spirit will live on in the love she gave so freely, and that her light continues to shine through all who were blessed to know her.
Debbie''s Celebration of life will be held at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home on November 22nd from 10-12:30 and a service to follow from 12:30-1pm.
