Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Boyd Family Funeral Home on Dec. 17, 2025.
On December 7, 2025, at 1:58 p.m., the Almighty, in His infinite wisdom, called Deborah Ann Lemon from our midst. Deborah was born on January 22, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late J.C. Howard, Sr and the late Ernestine J. Howard. Affectionally known to family and friends as "Debbie," she was a proud graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School. Deborah accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member of Evening Star Spiritual Church under the leadership of Minister Annie Mae Jackson. She later united with Chief Cornerstone Full Gospel Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Gary Bailey, Sr. Deborah was employed by the Raddison Hotel and Popeyes Fried Chicken, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She truly loved cooking for her family and friends and cherished spending time laughing, celebrating, and creating memories with those she loved most. Deborah leaves to cherish her loving memory of her son, Leonard Jones; five grandchildren, Leshell, Leniyah, Lenaiye Jones, Sheldon Lemon and Shiloh Lemon; two great-grandchildren, LeNia Spence and Gianna Howard; three brothers, Rondell Jones (Larissa), Robert Jones (Sarenia), J.C. Howard, Jr, four sisters, Deidra Howard, Ernestine Williams (Elbert), Lynette Lunkins (Craig), and Patricia Patterson (Gary). All are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, December 20, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Church, 9900 Haynes Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana 70127.
