Deborah L. Mullins

August 4, 1952 – October 2, 2025

Deborah L. Mullins, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 73.

Born in Michigan on August 4, 1952, Deb grew up in Wyandotte and graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1970. Her love for life and music led her to travel across the United States and Canada with a local band, where she worked alongside her cousin Danny Mullins. Deb played a vital role behind the scenes-setting up performances and serving as the MC. Her fearless spirit and vibrant personality made her a natural on the microphone and a cherished part of the band's journey.

Deb often said she lived fully in her youth because "we only live once," and she embraced every opportunity with joy and courage. She worked for Al's Glass in Lincoln Park before relocating to Florida in 1987, where she lived in several Gulf Coast communities including New Port Richey, Largo, and Dunedin.

She began working at Valpak in 1990 and retired in 2009, maintaining close friendships with many of her coworkers. Even before retirement, Deb found happiness in the company of dear friends and her beloved Chinese Pugs-Etheridge and later E2. Etheridge even made a special appearance on an episode of Forensic Files, a moment Deb proudly remembered. E2 remained faithfully by her side, offering comfort and companionship through her later years.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Denver B. Mullins, Sr. and Juanita Mullins, and her nephew, Robert Mullins. Deb is survived by her loving brothers, Denver B. Mullins, Jr. (Connie) and Richard Mullins (Maryanne); and her cherished nieces and nephews, Jeffery, Ryan, and Savannah. She was deeply grateful for the care and support she received from Connie and Maryanne, especially in recent years.

Deborah will be remembered for her adventurous nature, her love of rock 'n' roll music, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her infectious laugh, her love for Detroit sports, and her ever-changing collection of rock 'n' roll shirts and hats were trademarks of her personality. Deb's favorite memories included dancing to her most-loved songs, cheering for her favorite teams, and sharing stories that made everyone feel like family.

She had a gift for making people laugh, lifting spirits, and turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones. Whether through her witty one-liners, spontaneous road trips, or heartfelt conversations, Deb left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and her motto-"Learn with it, rock with it"-will forever echo as a reminder to live boldly, love deeply, and laugh often.

To quote Deb the best way I can..."Peace out....
