Deborah Ann "Debbie" Nix

1956 - 2024

Deborah (Debbie) Ann Nix, age 67, died peacefully Sunday July 28th, 2024 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock after a hard battle with cancer. She was born October 21, 1956 to Edgar and Helen Kratz in Malvern. She was a graduate of Ouachita High School and Henderson State University. Her career was spent teaching science at Malvern High School.
Debbie spent her entire life living on a farm and loved every minute of it from gardening to cattle working and raking hay. Her greatest joy in life was her grandkids that she spent almost every day of their lives with. She shared her love of God by playing the piano at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church for almost 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edgar and Helen Kratz.
Left to cherish her memory, husband, Sanford Nix; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Cassie Nix; grandchildren, Mason, Emma and Presley; brothers, Doug (Brenda), and Glenn (Delphia) Kratz; sister-in-law, Ruth Pruett; and 4 nephews and 1 niece.
Visitation will be held at Regency Funeral Home Wednesday July 31st, 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Thursday August 1st, at 2 pm. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Neal Kratz, Richard Kratz, Bryan Kratz, Nathan Kratz, Loy Gray, and Larry Guin. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Walker and Truman Skinner.
Flowers can be sent to Regency Funeral Home or donations can be made to Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
