Deborah A. (Vardell) Pry
Deborah Ann (Vardell) Pry was born on may 28, 1952 in Kennett, Missouri to the late George Nile and Betty Jo (Meadows) Vardell and moved to her heavenly home on August 25, 2025 at her home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Debbie graduated from Kennett High School in 1970. She was very active in high school, participating in the NCAA Junior Olympics, competing in multiple states, and winning many medals and ribbons for her accomplishments. She was also a member of the KHS Marching Band, but her heart was in baton twirling and becoming a drum major for the band. Debbie was also both Junior Maid and Senior Maid for Homecoming Court at Kennet Highschool. After high school, she attended Arkansas State University, Northwest State University in Missouri, and Wayne Community College in North Carolina.
On December 29, 1973, Debbie Vardell and James D Pry were united in marriage and he survives of the home.
Surviving family include her husband, James D Pry, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 2 sons, James D Pry II, of Holly Springs, North Carolina, and Chad A (Metta) Pry, of Apex, North Carolina, 2 beautiful grandchildren, Adela June (high school junior) and Eliot Atticus (college sophomore), both of Apex, North Carolina.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George “Randy” Vardell.
The visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, 2025, beginning at 5 P.M. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
The funeral will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, beginning at 11 A.M. at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church near Bloomfield, Missouri with Rev. Marty Bryant of Puxico officiating.
Internment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.
