Deborah Kaye Ralfs, of Sioux Falls SD, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on October 26, 2023 at The Dougherty Hospice House surrounded by loved ones. Deb was born on December 2, 1951 and graced this world with her presence, stubbornness and comical ways for 71 years before bowing out peacefully
Deb was the daughter of Orville and Leah Theel, who definitely raised a force of nature. Her vibrant spirit and mischievous sense of humor were obvious at a young age which charmed, and occasionally, frustrated her family and friends.
Deb had been married to Stephen Ralfs and were blessed with two daughters, Vicki And Nichole. Deb then went on the marry Vincent Waddell and together they crafted a life filled with love, laughter and constant banter, whether it was arguing over whose turn it was to watch tv, do the chores, to who was loved more by their grandchildren. Their marriage thrived on friendly competition and shared passion and love for family and friends.
Speaking of family, Deb treasured her role as a grandmother to her five crazy grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Deb surrounded each grandchild with a whirlwind of affection causing endless giggles and making memories for a lifetime.
Deb was preceded in death by both of her parents; her siblings, Darla Theel, David Theel, Douglas Theel and Donald Theel; great grandson, Zyairh Fisher.
Deb is survived by her husband, Vincent; her children, Vicki Ralfs and Nichole (Rapfs) Setterholm and her husband, Arlen; grandchildren, Jamie (Jake) Roberts, Skylar Setterholm, Kyle Setterholm, Crystal Ralfs and Samantha Setterholm; three great grandchildren, Lillith Roberts, Damien Roberts and Zyairh Fisher. Deb was grateful for having shared her life with her siblings, Orville “Butch” (Marie) Theel, Denise Theel and Duane (Cathy) Theel; and many extended family members and friends.
Deb Ralfs, we say goodbye with laughter and tears, you brought joy to countless lives and cracked us up on a daily basis and proved that life is too short to be anything but silly may you find eternal happiness in the land of endless punchlines. Rest in peace and try not to cause too much chaos up there and you will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
