Deborah "Deb" Ann Rosewarne, age 68, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 8, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan, Deb grew up in Hazel Park and built a life centered around compassion, family, and care for others. She dedicated 26 years to her career as a NICU nurse at Royal Oak Beaumont, where she touched countless lives and formed lasting friendships with both coworkers and the families of her patients.
Deb was the beloved daughter of Robert and Patricia Shenk, and cherished sister to Denise (David) Lamb and Robert (Donna) Shenk. She was the devoted wife of 20 years to Kirk Rosewarne and the loving mother of Matthew Hurt, Jacqueline (Joseph) Tacoma, and Mackenzie (Timothy) Hasse. She was also a proud stepmother to Danielle (Brandon) Kennedy and Kirk (Karen) Rosewarne.
Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren - Anderson Hasse, Logan Kennedy, Henry Kennedy, Juliet Kennedy, and Olivia Rosewarne - who lovingly called her "Nana."
Deb had a deep love for nature and could often be found tending to her beautiful front and backyard gardens. She and Kirk shared a love for travel, exploring national parks together and making memories across the country. Her favorite place of all, though, was her own backyard - swinging gently in her hammock chair while rocking her grandson Anderson to sleep.
She is preceded in death by her son, John Thomas Hurt III, and her first husband, John Hurt.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, Clawson, MI 48017. There will also be a celebration of life service, details to follow - please check back.
Memorial contributions can be made to March of Dimes in Deb's name.
Deb will be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, her steady grace, and the love she poured into everyone around her. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Deborah "Deb" Ann Rosewarne, please visit our floral store.
