Deborah Ann Queen Smith died October 6, 2025 at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by Franklin D. Queen (father), Mary Ann Queen (mother), Ella Mae Boyt (grandmother), Clifford James Boyt (uncle), Josephine Frances Busbee (aunt), and Steve Busbee (cousin).

She is survived by her brother Michael D. Queen, niece Amy Tatum (Michael), nephew Mickey Queen, Aunts Linda Boyt Beck (Ed), Peggy Nunn (Kary), Uncle William Busbee, cousins Bonnie Roberts (James), Heather O'neal (Ethan, Riley, Kendyl), Melissa White (Brad, Brayden, Ansleigh), Kacey Laney (Justin, Kyleigh, Kinsleigh), Kevin Busbee, Stephanie Busbee, and Miranda Busbee and son Chris Smith.

Debbie was born on September 18, 1953 in Atlanta Georgia to Frank and Mary Ann Queen. Debbie attended Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Springs Georgia where she learned American Sign Language. Debbie loved her family and had a caregivers heart. Even with her disability, Debbie's spirit shone through in her interactions with family and friends, always filling their lives with laughter. Debbie loved taking care of her plants and spending time with her beloved dog Peppie. Debbie was the go-to person for family care, whether it was helping loved ones through an illness or watching over the little ones. Thanks to Debbie's love for taking pictures we have countless memories of family and friends that we will always be able to look back on. Debbie will forever be missed by her family and friends.

A memorial for Debbie will be held at a later date.
