Deborah Thomas Snode
September 23, 1968 to December 19, 2024
Deborah Thomas Snode, 56 years of age, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024 after a quiet battle with cancer.
She was born in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1968, to Elizabeth (Halahan) and Joseph Thomas, the youngest of twelve children. She grew up in Belle Valley, Ohio, where she graduated as valedictorian from Shenandoah High School in 1986. While in High School, she was a track and cross country star who represented her school at state level competition and held a school record until 2024. She then graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelors in Psychology and would later return to OSU as a Yoga Instructor after earning her E-RYT-200, 500 Yoga Master Level Certifications from Samyoga Institute.
Deborah loved nature, animals, and children. She was a peaceful soul who touched many through her teachings. She had a beautiful smile and brought a positive perspective of life. She knew how to enjoy the little things life had to offer. She was an artist in the kitchen and believed wholeheartedly in the goodness of humankind.
Her dog, Winston, was a very important part of her life as she always treated him as a valued member of her family. In her remaining days, she fulfilled her wish of taking him to the beach and watched him experience the ocean waves and sand.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Claire Snode, three of her brothers, Pat, Mike, and John, and five of her sisters, Janie, Vickie, Loretta, Evelyn, and Annette, and her significant other, Ron Wright. She is deeply loved and missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will take place in February 2025. Donations to Pink Ribbon Good are encouraged in honor of her memory. https://www.pinkribbongood.org/donate
