Deborah Swank, 66, of Kingsley, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, March 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She shared 28 years of marriage with her husband, Dana Swank.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Paul and Barb Ruth (Parker) Pugh and was a 1978 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School. Deborah was employed at several personal care homes throughout the years before ultimately taking great pride in her role as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening on her property, loved visiting the horses at Assateague Island, and had a fond appreciation for motorcycles.
Surviving are four children: Jason Browning and fiancée, Kate Fox, Elk Lake; Aline Browning and wife, Dawn Karzenoski, Dunmore; Justin Browning and wife, Nicki Bledsoe, Scranton; and Lindsey Ross and partner, Johnny Washington, Scranton. She is also survived by a sister, Aline Pugh, Virginia; two brothers, Kenneth Paul Pugh Jr., Gettysburg; and Michael Pugh and wife, Susan, Tunkhannock; 13 grandchildren; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Browning; and a grandson, Xander Browning.
Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Hudak-O’Shea & Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 115 N. Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.
