Deborah Gailene Taylor, known as Debbie by her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with loved ones close by. Born on June 23, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas, Debbie was the youngest of 5 children to Eldon M. "Pete" and Violet V. (Holden) Freeman. Debbie was a graduate of Highland Park High School in 1973. In 1978 she married Calvin Taylor and a few years later was blessed with two sons. She held various careers in customer relations over the years, where she brought joy and many smiles to those she interacted with. Those who worked with her can speak of how she could turn the most mundane day into a memorable one by the spirited way she lived life. She had a passion for Mustangs. She loved their beauty, power, and purr with her first one being a 1965. However, her boys were her pride and joy and she loved them unconditionally. When she became a MeMe her heart grew even bigger, filled with even more love for her grandkids. She loved having them over for late movie nights and popcorn, tree decorating, supporting them at their events and just spending time with them in general. She loved to spoil them with her sweets and treats. If you ask, the best thing at MeMe's house of course was the raw cookie dough always on hand. Debbie's infectious smile and boundless spirit were a gift to all who knew her. Her sense of humor was a beacon of light, uplifting everyone around her, and her love for her family was deep and unwavering and will be cherished forever. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers. She leaves behind her son Jason and wife Jennifer, their children Madison and Bryson Young, Katie Jo, and Clay, all of Tahlequah, OK. Son Shane and wife Talara, their children Kiera and Mason, of Tontitown AR. Her sister and best friend Brenda Blankingship and husband Edward of Perry, KS and one brother Steve Freeman of Topeka, KS along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She will be deeply missed and while we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life of Debbie Taylor-a life lived with love and laughter.
