Deborah Marie Voelkerding, 76, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The beloved wife of Rick Voelkerding for 57 years; cherished mother of Brad Voelkerding (Trisha); adored grandma of Faith Marie Voelkerding; dear sister of the late Roger E. Metz and she was also preceded by her parents, Edward and Dolores Metz (nee Meyer). She was loving aunt and friend to many.

Debbie worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 32 years and was an active volunteer with the Telephone Pioneers of America (TPA), an organization that evolved into the world's largest industry-related volunteer organization, with a primary focus on community service and education through various local and sponsored initiatives. After retiring from SWB, she worked for Schnuck's for 16 years in the floral department. St. Joseph Cottleville has been her parish home for 33 years. Debbie's most cherished time was spent with her granddaughter Faith Marie.
