Deborah Lynn Walters, fondly known as Debby, was born on September 9, 1949, in Kettering, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School, Class of 1967, Debby embarked on a fulfilling career, retiring from State Farm Insurance in 2008 after many years of dedicated service. She also spent a significant time employed at the Trading Post in Centerville, where she touched the lives of many.
Throughout her life, Debby was cherished for her fun and loving spirit, as well as her caring and compassionate nature. Her great sense of humor brought joy to those around her, leaving a lasting impression on family and friends alike. Debby took immense pride in her family, considering her daughters and grandchildren to be her proudest accomplishments.
She is survived by her four daughters: Heather (Tom) Woollard, Michelle (Brandon) Cortier, Stephanie (Colby Collatt) Frazee, and Melissa Frazee. Debby was a beloved grandmother to twelve grandchildren: Ashley, Parker, Madelynn, Gracie, Joey, Katie, Abby, Simon, Layla, Hunter (Logan), Xavier, Kaylianna and Zacori. Her family continued to grow with the addition of great-grandchildren Sophie, Jordan, Ashlynn, Palmer, and Bryson. Debby is also survived by her uncle, Darryl (Shirley) Wolff, along with many cousins and friends who will remember her fondly.
Prior to her passing, Debby enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She loved playing the piano, cross-stitching, and engaging in crossword puzzles and Tetris. She relished spending time with her dog, Sissy, and found comfort in watching her favorite stories.
Debby is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Shirley Bowling, and her husband of 32 years, Nelson Walters. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
