Debra L. Adkins, 70, of Chillicothe passed 7:13 p.m. Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born August 22, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late James E. and Barbara L. Brammer VanBlarcume.

Surviving are sons, Daniel P. (Julie) Adkins II, of Newark and Damian L. (Wakeena "Bre" Oney) Adkins, of Chillicothe; former husband and father of her sons, Daniel P. Adkins I, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Natasha Whited, Alexis Bunke, Jacob Kazee, Ema Adkins, Amy Adkins, David Adkins and Gideon Adkins; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Sloan and a brother, Timothy VanBlarcume.

Debra was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed family, adored her grandchildren, friends, good cooking, old comedy shows and gospel music. Debra also had a great love for Christmas.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Dan Layman officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
