Debra Kay Anderson, age 69, of River Falls, Wisconsin, passed away August 5, 2023, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. She fought like heck to beat it, but in the end was left to return to the love of her life in heaven.
Debra was born on December 27, 1953, to parent's Lloyd and Florence Anderson in Duluth, Minnesota.
Deb graduated from the River Falls High School in River Falls, WI. After raising her two children Tammy and Brooke, she married the love of her life Buck Jensen on September 24, 2014 at a beautiful private ceremony in their own backyard in River Falls, WI.
Deb had a passion for floral gardening and loved integrating that passion into a continuous landscaping project. Her love for these plants didn't just stay outside as pots of plants would find their way into the home. Deb's favorite was the stargazer lily. As a grandmother that deeply loved her family, Grandma and Papa never hesitated to spend any moment they could with their grandkids. It could be a weekend with them, a simple visit to the A&W, projects in the yard or cheering them on at sporting events with no filter. Deb told it how it was, had a contagious laugh, quick wit and she will forever be remembered for that. Deb enjoyed creating pottery pieces at one of her places of employment and loved listening to her music. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many areas of the United States and Mexico. Their favorite spots included Cancun, Mexico, and a yearly trip to Algoma. Grandma and Papa's greatest passions was their family. Many years of life lessons from both of them, that will be shared for decades to come. Their expertise, advice and unconditional love will be deeply missed.
Debbie is survived by her children Tammy (Alan) Barstad and Brooke (Derek Mechler) Halverson; grandchildren Lyndsey (Rick), Delaney, Hunter, Logan, Ellie, Maddilyn, and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Florence Anderson; husband Buck Jensen; pets Cyndar and Scout.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
