Loren Dale Burgeson age 77 of Woodville, WI went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2025 at home from complications of diabetes.
He was born January 18, 1948 in Minneapolis, one of four sons born to Vernon and Kathryn (Anderson) Burgeson. He grew up in Bloomington, MN and graduated from the J F Kennedy High School in 1966.
In 1966 he enlisted in the US Army and served one year in Vietnam. He bravely served as a gunner on a helicopter in Vietnam. Loren was honorably discharged in 1972.
He and Linda Walker were united in marriage in 1968. They lived in Savannah, GA, where Loren worked as an auto mechanic.
In 1990 they moved to Bloomington, MN. Loren worked as a courier in the Twin Cities area for years.
And in 2001 they moved to Woodville, WI. He did maintenance work in Woodville.
Loren could often be found tinkering in his shop. He enjoyed watching sports.
He was a deeply devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Loren will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years Linda; 3 daughters Diana (Brad) Henze, Heather (Mickey) Johnson, & Amy Burgeson; 5 grandchildren Brian (Ashton) Henze, Ryan (Dan) Leslie, Lauren Henze, Zachary Johnson, & Nathaniel Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren Blaklee, Emma, Owen, & Spencer; three brothers Tom (Priscilla), Jerry, & Jack (Nancy); and many nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends.
Visitation Thursday August 14th from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM at O’Connell Funeral Home in Baldwin. Funeral Service Friday, August 15th 12 noon at First Baptist Church in Woodville. Visitation also one hour prior the service at the church. Interment with Military Honors will be held later at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
