Timothy Charles Nygaard

Timothy Charles Nygaard, age 59, of Hammond, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2025. Tim leaves behind his incredible strength, laughter, kindness and love for his family and friends.
Tim was born on August 7th, 1965, to Roger and Luana Nygaard (Andrews) in North Hudson, Wisconsin. Tim graduated from Hudson High School in 1983. He went on later in life to obtain his Associates in Mechanical Engineering in 2000. Tim married the love of his life, Sue, on May 3,1989. Together they had two beautiful children, Nicholas and Krystal.
Tim had a work ethic like no other. After many years of hard work, his drive ultimately landed him in his role as BU12 Manager for Wunderlich- Malec Engineering. Over the years so many wonderful relationships were made between colleagues and clients. He truly had an amazing gift of enthusiasm, energy and unwavering commitment that made him so relatable and a friend to everyone he crossed paths with.
Tim was a man of many hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting but his true passion was fishing. Tim enjoyed everything from snowmobiling, ATVing, pontoon rides with his family and cruising in his pride and joy, "Sue's Jeep". Tim also enjoyed sports, cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Tims happy place was at the cabin in Minong, WI. The great memories and friendships he made were something he truly cherished. Many vacations were also shared over the years. His most recent was with his wife Sue and dear friends last year to Hawaii. Tims zest for fun and new adventures will live on through his family and friends.
Becoming a Papa was the ultimate gift to Tim. It was easy to see the joy and love he had for Vincent and Zoey by how he lit up and the big smile they put on his face. From naptime snuggles to building blocks, Tim was constantly talking about those little blessings and the joy they brought to his life.
Tim is survived by his loving wife Sue, children Nick and Krystal, grandson Vincent and granddaughter Zoey. He lives on in the hearts of numerous extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father; Roger Nygaard, father-in-law; William "Bill" Sauerbrey and mother-in-law; Kathryn "Kathy" Sauerbrey.
A visitation will be held for Tim at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, WI on Tuesday, April 22nd from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 23rd at the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ in Roberts. Visitation to begin at 10 AM followed by service at 11 with lunch served immediately after.
