Debra Ann (Lukens) Ault born October 9th, 1963 in Portland, Oregon and passed away August 1st, 2025 in Portland, Oregon. Debra, known as Debbie to family and friends, was born to Sally Pottratz & John Lukens on October 9th, 1963 in Portland, Oregon. She grew up playing on the sands of Rockaway Beach and Nadonna Beach and would go back as often as she could. Debbie attended Lake Oswego High School and in 1995, she graduated from OSU with her degree in Construction Management. With that degree in hand, she proudly had a hand in the building of some of Portland's skyline including the Nines building, Randall Children's Hospital and various projects at OHSU. She changed up her professional career later in life and started to drive a school bus for the West Linn School District in which she loved each and every child she drove and would tell family stories about her day and "her kids" often. In the summer of 2000 she met and ultimately fell in love (at first sight) with Glen Ault. They would go on to get married on September 30th, 2000 and enjoy the next 25 years together. When Debbie wasn't working, you could find her with her husband, kids, or grandchildren either playing games, cooking, in the garden or teaching a new skill to her kids or grandchildren and always with a smile on her face. Debbie was proceeded in death by her father John Lukens and step-father Don Pottratz. She is survived by her husband Glen Ault, children Christopher Lukens, Lacy (Ault) Stout, Lynn Ault and A.J. Miller, her grandchildren Darren Ault (Lacy), Lily Ault (Lynn), Alannah Stout (Lacy), and trArya Miller (A.J.), her mother Sally Pottratz and her sisters Laura (Lukens) Anderson, Cynthia (Pottratz) Berry and Kimberly (Pottratz) Holdeman. A joint memorial, anniversary, birthday celebration will be held at McCormick Park Pavillion 1 in St. Helens, OR on September 27th, 2025. In keeping with Debbie's style, it will be a potluck style event. Please send questions to [email protected] and they will be responded to by family.
