Debra "Debbie" Blake

Debra "Debbie" Blake, 66, of Julesburg, CO, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her home.
Debbie was born to Dale and Lieta Johnson on November 11, 1955. Debbie grew up on a ranch south of Julesburg. She fostered a great love of horses and cherished her time on the ranch. Debbie graduated from Revere High School on May 26, 1974.
On December 7, 1974, Debbie married Eugene "Gene" Blake. Their union was blessed with two sons, Brad and Brian.
Debbie had worked in housekeeping for several years as a caregiver, home health aid, and seasonally at the sugar beet factory through the years. She always worked hard, but what defined Debbie most suitably was the kind of mother she was.
Debbie was dedicated to her children. Though there was never any doubt about how much love she had for them, Debbie was unequaled in her supportive zeal when it came to their events.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Ernest and Lois Blake.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Blake; her two sons, Brad and Brian Blake, both of Morrison, CO; one grandchild, Destiny Newton; sister, Gloria Dodd of Columbus, GA; brother, Les (Linda) Leslie of Thorton, CO; sister-in-law, Sharon Blake of Holyoke, CO; brothers-in-law, Bob (Peggy) Blake of Sterling, CO, Mark (Pat) Blake of Grand Ledge, MI, and Ricky Blake of Wichita Falls, TX, along with many other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Debbie's memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at prairiehillsjulesburg.com.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Julesburg Christian Church, with Pastor Alan Harris officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Julesburg Hillside Cemetery.
Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Julesburg is in charge of arrangements.
