Debra Bruce

Debra lynne Bruce, Zhaawaninoodin ikwe "South Wind Women" age 64 of Minneapolis, Minnesota Journeyed to the spirit World on Wednesday, april 23, 2025 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. she was born on april 14, 1961 the daughter of Daniel Bruce and Donna Martin. she grew up in Minneapolis, then moved to Cass Lake to raise her children. later, moving back to Minneapolis, where she lived out her remaining life.
Debra played guitar and was really good at it. She especially loved playing the guitar with her dad when he was still alive. she was very creative, liked drawing or anything that was arts and crafts. Debra went to college when she lived up north and graduated with an a.a. in criminal Justice Degree. her dream of becoming a police officer came true after she graduated. for 5 years she was a police officer in Red Lake. she loved being with her kids, laughing and telling jokes with the She treasured any time she had with her grandchildren.
She dearly loved all her entire family.

Kelsh and Alex Kelsh and Stacy Bruce; sons: Herschel Ogema Jr. and Leacha Holmes, Daniel Ogema, and Eric Grigsby; all her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Daniel Bruce Jr., and Kevin Jay Bruce; sisters: Deana Parra and Carrie Bruce. Preceded in death by her mom: Donna Mae Jones; dad: Daniel l. Bruce sr.; brother: Dean (Jimmy) Bruce; sisters: Diana l. Bruce, Darla l. Bruce, and Danette Bruce; nephew: Brandon Roy and
Jonathan Bruce.
