Debra A. Bushee, age 73, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne.

Debra was born on September 22, 1952, in Waco, TX, to the late Lincoln and MaryJane (Cass) Reed. Debra married Robert Bushee in 1972, and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2025.

Debra was a 1970 graduate of Norwell High School. She continued her education in Human Resources and received her master's degree from Indiana Tech. She retired as Vice President of Human Resources from Gas Compressions in Kansas. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington and after retiring she became the Queen of Diamond Art. She was a devout Catholic and collected Angels and Mother Mary. She loved her electric trains and Amazon. Deb would help you with whatever you needed and she loved her grandbabies.

Debra is survived by two daughters, Tamara (Pete) LaFaucia, Fort Wayne, IN, Angel (Scott) Lewis, Huntington, IN; two sisters, Linda Terhune, Anna, TX, Tinia (Doug) DeHaven, Huntington, IN; sisters-in-law, Deanne Bushee, Linda (Kevin) Goodnight, both of Huntington, IN; Joyce (Greg) Benjock, Mt. Pleasant, NC; 5 grandchildren, Jessica (Dallas) Hammett, Trevor (Aleah) Wiley, Jarod (Brynn) Lewis, Chandler (fiancé Beth Tallman) Lewis, Elizabeth LaFaucia; and three great-grandchildren, Carter Hammett, Emelia Hammett, and Callahan Lewis.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with calling hours from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding.

The burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to help with expenses, in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
