Pastor Debra Sue Baker Chupe, age 68, of Seguin, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Born on June 20, 1956, in Harwood, Texas, to Violet Marene (Elder) and Willie B. Baker, Debra lived a life filled with love, faith, and service to others.
Debra's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, especially through the warmth of her kitchen and the strength of her faith. She was known for her exceptional culinary skills which turned any gathering into a tasty event that was always filled with food, love, and fellowship.
Debra's passion for family and her devotion to her grandchildren brought endless joy and laughter to her life. If there was a grandkid or six around, her heart was content, and you could guarantee that shenanigans would soon be afoot.
For 45 years, Debra faithfully served in ministry, dedicating countless hours to spreading the love of Christ. Her ministry extended far and wide, touching lives through her service in the Women's Ministry and Outreach in Mexico. A gifted singer with a voice reminiscent of the legendary Vestal Goodman, Debra's singing inspired many and brought comfort to those around her.
