Debra Annette Cornish, 68, of Anderson County, Kentucky, peacefully left this world on Friday, May 2, 2025.
A devoted wife, mother, sister, granny, and friend, Debra exemplified love in every aspect of her life. For 25 years, she lovingly cared for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Twinbrook nursing home, a testament to her compassionate nature and dedication to serving those in need. With a green thumb and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, Debra spent countless hours outdoors, finding joy and solace in the vibrant world around her.
In her free time, she loved to explore new places, thrift shop for hidden treasures, and indulge in her passion for true crime shows. Her knowledgeable and outspoken personality drew everyone in, and her heart of gold continuously sought out the good in every situation. Friends and family will forever cherish the warmth and kindness that defined Debra’s spirit; she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving her.
Born on April 23, 1957, in Anderson, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of Buck Peach and Dorothy Parks. Along with her parents, Debra is now reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Ron Cornish; her niece, Diane Baker; and her cherished furbabies, Chump and Buster.
Debra leaves behind a loving legacy. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Amanda (Chris) Wilson and Stephanie (Chris) Logsdon; her sons, Robert (Shannon) Singleton and Mark (Patty) Singleton; and her dear brother and sisters, Steve (Kathy) Peach, Kathy (Willie) Black, Lisa (Rob) Aspell, and Barbara Parks. Her grandsons—Corey Vanmeter, Brandon Singleton, Byron (Claudia) Singleton, and Cooper Singleton—along with granddaughters Brianna Singleton, Emily (Brooklynn) Drosity, Kristen Wilson, Savannah Singleton, Lauren Singleton, Khloe Wilson, and Destiny Ratliff, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, will carry her memory in their hearts.
