Debra Gonzales DeLeon

Debra Gonzales DeLeon passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025 with her family holding her hand and at her bedside. She was 57.
Deby was born April 26, 1967 in Sinton, Texas. She was the middle daughter of Viola (Cantu) and Paul R. Gonzales.
Deby was a lifelong resident of Sinton. She attended Sinton schools graduating Sinton High in 1985. She worked at South Texas Savings for many years before taking the Executive Administrator position at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton where she was employed more than 15 years. Deby made many lasting impressions and friendships with the people she came into contact with.
Deby was kind-hearted. Her sweet spirit, soft voice, patience, and loving, giving character made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She was smart, witty, talented and creative. Deby put much thought into gift giving, and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. To her children, she was everything. Deby leaves wisdom and gratitude with her husband and children. She made them feel safe, comforted and loved unconditionally. To Paulette and twins Morgan and Paul (the children she adored, doted on and was more than proud of), Deby was their rock, their biggest fan and a fortress. Her children will never forget the love and sacrifices she made to put them first. She was their home, and now she is home, reunited with the ones she has missed for so long. What a glorious reunion in Heaven!
Every pumpkin patch, every holiday, the songs you loved and the memories you have made will remind us of you. You will be spoken of often and remembered every day. You touched the lives of many, and your grandchildren will know who you are. We look forward to the day we will see you again.
Preceding Deby in death are her mother: Viola Cantu Gonzales; grandparents: Charlie and Guadalupe Cantu; and father-in-law: Pablo F. DeLeon, Sr.
Survivors include her husband: Paul DeLeon, Jr.; daughters: Paulette C. DeLeon and Morgan L. DeLeon; a son: Paul C. DeLeon, III (Zoe), all from Sinton, Texas; her father: Paul R. Gonzales; sisters: Frances Rodriguez and Paula Doty, all from Sinton, Texas; mother-in-law: Lala DeLeon; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin Thursday, March 13, 2025, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A Christian Rites funeral service will be Friday, March 14, 2025, 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
