Deb ("Debba, Nana") D. Fabrycki (nee Doudt) of New Berlin, WI found full peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 8, 2025, at 70 years young.
She was preceded in death by her Mom, Betty Doudt (nee Bailey), her Dad Russ Doudt and her beloved sister, Pat Nissen (nee Doudt).
Deb is survived by her gentle and faithful husband John ("Finn") and her beloved children and their spouses: Liz (Steve) Brown of Gallatin, TN and Jon (Megan) Fabrycki of Muskego, WI. Deb loved to be "Nana" to her 4 precious grandchildren: Luca Brown, Elenore (Ellie) Brown, Anna Fabrycki and Molly (Mollmae) Fabrycki. Deb is also survived by her brothers Rick (Sharon) Doudt of Dunlap, TN and Charlie (Ruthie) Doudt of Mesquite, NV. Deb was a loving Auntie Deb to Mark (Mary) Nissen, Lisa (Nissen) Deponte, Todd (Denise) Nissen, Becky (Walt) Duncan and Ben (Julena) Doudt.
Deb, born and raised in Bay View, WI loved living near Lake Michigan, and as a child would often spend much time sitting on a park bench overlooking the water, reflecting on many things. It was comforting for her to spend time outside in nature then, and throughout her life.
Deb attended Bay View High School, Milwaukee, where she had leads in several musicals. She was a lifetime lover of theatre and music. She was a "folkie" in the 60's and sang and played the guitar for weddings, funerals, and spiritual events. She also used her gift of music to lead worship throughout her teen years in worship services and Sunday school at Grace Presbyterian Church in Bay View/Milwaukee. This continued through most of her adult life. She wrote and directed Christmas pageants and directed a teen worship group at Our Lord's United Methodist Church, New Berlin, WI. Deb also led Women's Ministry worship and taught preschool for several years at Elmbrook Church, Brookfield, WI. She and a dynamic group of Moms in the neighborhood teamed up for several years to conduct a neighborhood summer bible group for children as well.
Deb's favorite personal passions were the love of music, dogs, reading, a TV show with a good story, Packer football and most recently Brewer baseball. She instilled the love of music in both of her children, and she continued the tradition in her own family of never being without a dog (or two). She found great solace in the companionship of dogs and was thankful that God chose to create them. She was a voracious reader and was known to have 4-5 books going at a time.
Deb graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Speech Pathology and she worked as a Speech/Language Pathologist in New Berlin, WI Schools. She had a passion for this work and the children and families she served were blessed by her gifting. Some great lifetime friends were made there, and she cherished their teamwork and camaraderie.
Deb was a life-long caregiver to many in her family and her husband's family. It seemed like she was a vessel specifically chosen for this role by God. Deb loved to laugh and laugh loudly! She had a great sense of humor and a big smile that radiated joy. She will be remembered for how she raised other people's spirits and spoke the truth in love. She was a gifted listener, and she could always get to the heart of the matter.
