Debra A. Griffith, 65, of Sheffield, VT died on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Northeast Vermont Regional Hospital, unexpectedly.
Debra was born on April 16, 1960, in Chelsea MA, daughter to the late Janice Henderson and stepfather Ralph Wilson. On August 28, 1991, Debra married the love of her life Micheal Griffith and together they lived and loved 36 years together and raised five children.
Debra was a shining light in the lives of all that had the honor of knowing her. Her time was spent caring for her family and she enjoyed being a part of her community, making a difference where she could. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life journey was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
Debra loved spending time with her family whether it was laughing at a backyard BBQs blowing bubbles or being outdoors fishing and hunting. She especially loved being outside in the Fall, her favorite season.
Debra is survived by her loving and devoted husband Michael Griffith of Sheffield, VT; son and daughter-in-law, Brian (FF/EMT) and Annie Kelly of Haverhill, N.H; daughter, April Kelly of Lyndonville; daughter, Corey Kelly of Wheelock; daughter, Tory Kelley and son-in-law Brendin Kelley of Enfield, N.H.; daughter, Destainy Griffith of Lyndonville; brother Joesph Silva of Louden, N.H. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Lucan Hopkins, Kian Hopkins, Cora Kelly, Abigail Kelly, Evan Kelly, Devyn Kelley and Hailey Kelly who affectionately called her ‘Tootsie’, as well as many family and friends who loved her dearly.
Debra is predeceased by her mother Janice Henderson, Stepfather Ralph Wilson and grandson Hunter Kelly, and special friend Wayne Whitelock.
There will be no services at this time at Debra’s request. In honor of Debra, we ask that you live each day remembering to live, laugh and love just as she did!
