It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Hernandez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister on May 23, 2024. Debbie's life was a testament to love, joy, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Debbie is survived by her five daughters, who will forever cherish her memory, Barbara "Barbie" Garza (Carlos Garcia), April Hernandez, Meghan Hernandez, Cassandra Urbanski, and Angelica Jones. She was a proud grandmother of Jasmine, Freddy, Tatiana, Mitchell (Cris), Destinee (Julian), Antonio, Lexus, Serena, Jersey, Desmas, GusGus, Vonnie, Syd, Bear, Alyssa, Devon, Ella, and Noah; and loving great-grandmother of Baby Freddy, Malani "Cupcake," late August Moises, Adrian, and Kamila. Her love for her family was boundless, and she found immense joy in watching her family grow.
As a sister, Debbie shared a special bond with her siblings, who she cared for deeply; the late Mickey, survived by Linda (Steve), Tina, and Stevie; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Hazel Mae Wojtalewicz.
Debbie was not only a great mother and sister but also a grandmother and mother figure to many. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and hospitality, welcoming anyone in need of comfort and care. She loved to laugh and have fun, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere wherever she went.
