Debra Sue Howard

Debra Sue Howard, affectionately known as Debbie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC, at the age of 58. Born on August 5, 1967, in Lima, OH, Debbie was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.

Debbie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Howard, and her father, JW O'Quinn. She is survived by her devoted mother, Rachel O'Quinn, and her cherished children: Jacob Howard, Thomas Howard and his wife Emily, Kayla Hines, and Rodney Howard and his wife Brandi. Debbie was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kiera, Kenna, Klarke, Kimberlee, Remus, Parker, and Olivia, who will miss her deeply. She also leaves behind her caring sister, Bonnie Bettison and her husband Dan.

Debbie's passion for caring for others was evident through her career as a nurse, a profession she embraced after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment to her family and her love for animals, especially dogs. Debbie's nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life, as she was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.

Her interests were as warm and inviting as her personality. Debbie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time at the beach, watching her children play sports, and cherishing every moment with her grandchildren. Her selflessness was a guiding light for her family, and her loving nature was a comfort to her friends and colleagues.

Debbie's life was a testament to the power of kindness. She approached every day with a heart full of love and a desire to make the world a better place. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
