Obituary of Debra Denise Ison Thomas
Debra Denise Thomas age 59 of Ruskin passed away February 25th, 2022 at Tampa General Hospital. Debra was born at Chelsea Naval Hospital in Chelsea Massachusetts. She was raised in South Tampa and graduated from Robinson High School. She enrolled into Erwin Technical College and after graduation she was hired by Florida Blood Services which has become One Blood. While working she attained her Associate Degree in Science at Hillsbourgh Community College. Debra was with One Blood for 38 years, she loved her job and coworkers. She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Joan Ison, her brothers Mark Ison and Michael Ison. Debra is survived by her husband Michael Thomas, sister Ann Marks, nephews Colin Marks, James Vaughan, Jordan Nations, Mitchell Wilson, great nephews Brock Marks, Brody Marks, Troy Vaughan and Gunner Vaughan.
Debra was a loving soul that loved everyone, especially family. She always had a smile on her face, a loving heart, very smart and had a great sense of humor. She loved taking walks and watching the sunset. She loved whales, turtles and anything to do with nature. She especially loved music. Everyone who knows Debra will remember her smile and sense of humor. Service will be held at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin Fl. on
March 19th at 10:00am. After the service there will be a gathering of Family, friends and coworkers at her house. If you do not wish to send flowers you can make a donation in her name for whales or turtles, she would like that.
