Debra Jo Long (Wright) was born on June 1, 1957, to James Aubrey and Jo Ann Wright in Anderson County, SC. She graduated from Western Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC in 1975 and then briefly attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She married her high school sweetheart, Tim Long, on May 27,1978. They were married for 47 wonderful years. Debbie was a devout Christian who read her bible and prayed for her family every day. She loved to read, do crafts, and spend time with her grandbabies. She passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her in the early hours of June 22, 2025. Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Aubrey and Jo Ann Wright. She is survived by her Husband, Tim Long, Daughter and Son-in-law, Graham and Kristen Tregurtha, Daughter and Son-in-law, Stephen and Brooke Wagoner, and Son and Daughter-In-Law, Dustin and Brittany Long. Along with her ten beautiful grandchildren whom were the light of her life, Mackenzie Tregurtha, Brendan Tregurtha, Aiden Tregurtha, Eli Wagoner, Noah Wagoner, Kanaan Wagoner, Madelyn Wagoner, Natalie Long, John Long, and Caroline Long. Debbie was also survived by her two Sisters and Brother-In-Laws, David and Terri Douglas, and David and Lorraine Pope, along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members that will miss her dearly. A memorial will be held on Friday June 27, at 7 pm at Smith Grove Baptist Church. Donations in Debbie's honor can be made to the American Cancer Society Donate Today | The American Cancer Society.
