Debra Marzo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chiampa Funeral Home on Oct. 1, 2025.
Debra L. "Debbie" Marzo, 69, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 22nd after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, Paul J. Marzo. She leaves her oldest son Anthony J. "Tony" Marzo and wife Julie, her daughter Melissa A. "Missy" Charlton and her husband Kenneth, and her youngest son Matthew J. Marzo and his wife Jenn. She also leaves her four grandchildren Kaylee, Meghan, Anthony and Emily. Debbie was one of 4 children and leaves behind her brothers, Harry and Paul, and her sister Ginny. She also leaves behind many brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, and life long family friends.
Debbie grew up in Sutton, raised her family in Auburn, and retired in Shrewsbury. She graduated from Sutton High School and Cape Cod Community College. For many years, she worked as a book keeper for various local businesses, most recently being C.C. Temp Control.
Debra lived a full and wonderful life blessed with loving family and friends. She loved visiting Boston, Cape Cod, and enjoyed going to concerts and musical theaters. She enjoyed shopping, antiquing, watching movies, football Sundays, and quilting in her spare time. She enjoyed cribbage, decorating her home, and pasta making. Above all, Debbie loved to host. She loved having a house full of people to cook for. She was always ready for company with plenty of cheese, wine, and conversation. She loved cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas by trying new recipes that she either read about or watched on her favorite cooking shows seasoned with her home grown basil and parsley. She always cooked with love.
Debbie created so many wonderful memories with her children and grandchildren. She has always been Tony, Missy, and Matt's biggest fans. She always cheered them on both on and off the field and was always there to give advice when they needed it. Being a Mimi was one of her greatest joys in life. She was so proud of everything they have accomplished so far and she knows they will do great things as they grow.
Debbie was a wonderful mother, Mimi, aunt, sister, and friend. She is going to be greatly missed by all who loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with the love of her life, Paul.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury on Thursday, September 25th, from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, September 26th at 10:00 A.M.
