Debra McElyea Obituary
Debra Ann McElyea, age 65, passed away January 15, 2024 at Bristol Regional Hospital. Debra was born May 24, 1958 in Johnson County to the late Lewis and Ann McElyea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lee Talley and nephew, Wibb McElyea.
Debra was known for her love of all animals. She also enjoyed watching adult softball. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish her memories include her sisters, Donna Talley, Teresa Roark and husband Bob, Michelle Nave and husband Alan; brother, Gary McElyea and wife Crystal; nieces, Nikki Osborne and husband Austin, Shana Blevins; nephews, Dustin McElyea, Chris Roark and wife Karissa, Jordan Arney and wife Morgan, Bud Swift; step nephew, Brandon Nave; great nephews, Bryson Ward, Braylon Ward, Saylor Osborne; great niece, Rosie Roark; special cousin, Linda Wilson and her special cat, Marmalade.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with Anthony Roark officiating. It was Debra’s wish to be cremated.
The family of Debra Ann McElyea has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
