Debra Ann Mitchell 69 of Bainbridge passed from this life Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Greenfield Skilled Nursing following a long battle with cancer. She was born Sunday, July 17, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of the late David W. and Anna Louise Posey Saunders. On July 1, 1978, she married David W. Mitchell who died April 23, 2012.
She is survived by her two sons Joe (Lori) Wilt and Josh Mitchell (Brandy Newlan); 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; two sisters Pam (Jim) Daugherty and Angie (Randy) Mustard; brother John Saunders (Betty Burroughs); sister-in-law Cathy Saunders and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Deb was preceded in death by her brother Mark Saunders.
Debbie worked as a custodian and bus driver for Paint Valley Schools for over 30 years where she was an Union Rep; She was also a past member of the Paxton Area Life Squad, where she served 20 plus years.
Funeral services for Deb will be held 1 pm Friday January 3, 2025, at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with Troy Villars officiating, burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11 am until 1 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
