Mrs. Debra Knox Mitchum, widow of Steven "Randy" Mitchum, of Union, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Mrs. Mitchum was born in Union, SC, January 5,1958, a daughter of the late Franklin "Yankee" Knox and Connie Puckett Knox. She was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Mitchum worked as a weaver in the textile industry, and last worked several years at the Milliken Cedar Hill Plant.
Surviving is a son, Steven Rhinehart of Union, two granddaughters, Asher Rhinehart and Kelsey Tucker Garner and her husband, Adrian. Mrs. Mitchum is also survived by great grandchildren, Taylan Tucker, Christian Barber, Harmony Garner and Aria Garner. She is survived by brothers, Billy Knox and wife Julie and Robert Knox and wife Dana along with nine nieces and ten nephews. She was predeceased by two nieces and a nephew
Funeral services will be held, Sunday, January 12,2025 at 3:00 PM in the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Tim Dunn. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Micah Knox, Noah Knox, Richard Puckett, Chase Puckett, Paul Wolfe, Sam Kelley and Patrick Kelley.
The family will be at the home of Billy and Julie Knox, 110 Hidden Hill Rd., Union, SC 29379
